Real Furniture!

I feel so grown up! I just purchased my first real brand-new couch. It's sooo comfy, the kind you sink into. It's like the pajama pants of furniture.

Let's Get it Over With.

I think, like most people, I'm excited for this election but really tired of hearing about it. Despite who wins it is pretty cool that we will finally have either a black man or a woman in office. Personally, I was rooting for Steven Colbert. His enthusiastic facial gestures are exactly what this country needs more of. If Colbert was president then everyone would actually be excited to watch presidential speeches on TV instead of being pissed off that Law & Order isn't on.

Labor Day Weekend.

I spent the weekend visiting my little cousins Grace 5, and Ella & Gina, 1 1/2 year old twins. They are beautiful girls. Even though the twins are tiny little people, they're really fast. And they know how cute they are, so it's tough to get a picture of them at the same time. One always takes off running.


Every time I see them they are new people, older and wiser. Gracie just finished her first week of kindergarten and is fascinated by salamanders. Gina copies whatever she hears and Ella says NO to everything with pride and a little smirk. Both are wobbly when they run. It was so sweet, one afternoon Ella curled up in my lap and fell asleep on my shoulder. Despite getting thrown-up on I had a wonderful time with them.
