Random Things are Usually the Best.

A conversation between my mom and myself that took place the evening of Wednesday November 5, 2008. For the record, she called me.

Mom: Hi Emily. Have you heard the election results yet?

Me: (long confused pause) are you joking? Of course I know! I stayed up really late last night watching the news.

Mom: Well I was pleasantly surprised today when I found out.

Me: (still confused) How could anyone not know who the next president is?! That's all everyone talked about today.

Mom: Oh, I was referring to the school levy. It passed.

Evidently "Election" is too vague a term, even the day after the presidential election.

On a completely unrelated note, here's something that I really want but definitely don't need. It's a scale that tells you how much you weigh in terms of farm animals.
