This crochet artist, Emily Barletta, makes me want to experiment beyond the solid color scarves I've become so good at. I love how her sculptures abandon the demure, domestic connotation of crocheting by making reference to body parts and wonderfully creepy scientific-ish things. Check out her blog! http://www.emilybarletta.blogspot.com/

I'm such a grandma.
Another thing to add to the list of things that I love: Fruit roll-ups, Jeopardy, blueberry tea, annnnnndd.........Crocheting! My friend Meaghan and my sister Maggie taught me different ways to crochet and now I'm hooked (hah get it). I've been crocheting non-stop recently. Maybe that's why I haven't posted on my blog since the beginning of December. As a result of this insight into the world of yarn I now have way more scarves than I know what to do with. Perhaps I should pass them out to people on the streets of Columbus.
